Cushinstown Athletic Club

Day 1 of the Irish Life Health Leinster Schools Track and Field Championships took place on Wednesday the 15th of May. Well done to Amy Callaghan who came 1st in shot put with a cbp of 11.74m, and Amy Bellew coming 2nd, Amy Callaghan also came 2nd in the long jump, Mollie White 4th in hurdles, Loclainn Harris 2nd in 800m and 3rd in hurdles, Laura Bolster 1st in 100m and jumped well in long jump, Isabella Gogan also jumped well in the long jump, Aoife Rohan 4th in high jump and 5th in hurdles.  Day 2 took place on Saturday the 18th of May in Santry.  Niamh Quinn came 2nd in the intermediate discus with a pb of 28.51m, Aine O’Sullivan came 3rd in intermediate javelin and did well in the shot put, Orlaith Quinn jumped well in senior long jump and Aoife Lenehan threw well in the senior shot put & discus.Well done to everyone who competed for their school and did so well.

Day 2 and 3 of the Meath Championships took place over the long weekend and our juvenile athletes were out in force putting in some great performances. Well done to all our juvenile athletes who were busy last week competing and representing their schools in the North Leinster Schools Track & Field Championships in Santry. They all did brilliantly, good luck to all in the Leinster Schools Finals in the coming weeks.
