Cushinstown Athletic Club

First week of training over and we were blessed that the weather stayed fine throughout.  Monday and Wednesday saw the return of our younger age groups U7 to U14 with our older groups U15 to U18 returning on Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday, and to all who attended each session we hope you enjoyed it. 

Our sessions could not go ahead without the help of our coaches all of who give up their free time to ensure training sessions can proceed.  Thanks to Phelim who continues to ensure that the club is maintained to very high standards.   

Training continues next week as follows: – Wednesday U7-U14 7-8pm and Tuesday & Thursday U15-U18 7-8pm, Friday Hurdles U12-U18 7-8pm and Saturday 11-12pm U15-U18.

Our daffodil’s multiplying in numbers this year and don’t they look lovely, big thanks to Phelim for continuing to cut the grass, it looks great and looking forward to returning to club training soon.

Newest addition to Cushinstown Athletic Club is our new pilates room which we hope to be able to utilise very soon.  Thanks to Carranstown Community Grant Scheme for their support, Stephen McKee for his assistance and to Phelim for his great renovations.

2021 Provisional Competition Calendar Athletics Ireland are pleased to release a provisional 2021 competition calendar.All events are subject to the easing of current Covid-19 restrictions and changes to the competition calendar will be made intermittently so we advise people to check regularly for updates.

Specific event details will be released as they become available.We note that in the recently released Resilience and Recovery Covid19 document that there is provision for a return to activity for outdoor, non-contact training in pods of 15 at Level 4. We see this as a very positive development for our sport.

We greatly appreciate the patience you have all shown during these pandemic times.
