More great performances from your juvenile athletes at the Leinster teams event in Tullamore. We had an U12 boys team, Eamon Armstrong, James Bellew, Lee Callaghan and Jyles Gogan who did very well winning bronze. Our U13 girls team of Ella Barry, Laura Bolster, Isabella Gogan and Roisin McManus performed brilliantly and won gold. We had two U15 teams who did great coming 1st; Amy Callaghan, Katie Lenehan, Aine O’Sullivan and Mollie White and 2nd, Amy Bellew, Niamh Quinn, Ava Purcell and Ciara Smyth. The parents were great supporters as per usual! Well done to everyone.

Sensational performance by Elizabeth Morland in Arona, Tenerife where she broke her own Senior Irish record in the Heptathlon, she gained 5669 points which is also a qualification for the European Juniors which will be held in Grosseto, Italy in July. The standard points required was 5100. Over two days competition Elizabeth clocked a time of 14.01 in the 100m hurdles, jumped a new outdoor PB of 1.76m in the high jump, threw 10.73m in the shot put, jumped 5.87m in the long jump, gained a new PB in the javelin with a throw of 41.98m, and Elizabeth clocked 25.13 in the 200m and finally ran a time of 2:22.30 in the 800m. Super achievement and congratulations Elizabeth.
