Community Games

Well done also to Roisin Quinn who claimed the bronze medal in the Girls U14 80m hurdles in the Region 2 Community Games which took place in Leixlip.

To our young athletes who were in action competing in the National Aldi Community Games Athletic Finals in Carlow IT. Lee Callaghan jumped 1.75 to win the gold medal in the U16 boys high jump event while Aoife Rohan also 1.45 to claim the silver medal in the U16 girls High Jump. Harry Gough threw very well in the U14 Boys Javelin event coming sixth overall while Annalise Harris threw very well in the U12 Ball Throw coming seventh overall. Well done to all.

irish Life Tailteann School

At the Leinster schools Tailteann Trials James, Laura and Lee were competing for their schools. Laura and Lee were selected to represent Leinster in the Inter-provincial Tailteann Games. Laura will be competing in the 4X100m relay and Lee will be competing in the High Jump event.

At the Irish Life Health Tailteann School’s Interprovincial Games 2021 in Morton Stadium, Lee did very well jumping 1.70m in the high jump while Laura was part of the 4X100m relay team who came second.

Friday 6-7pm U12+ Throwing, Hurdles, High Jump

Walking Track…Mon to Thurs 7-8pm, Friday 6-7pm, Saturday 11am-12.30pm (Walking Track needs to be included in the weekly booking for screening purposes, please note the track can only be used for walking purposes, no jogging)
