It was also another busy weekend for the Cushinstown athletes who qualified to represent their schools and compete in the All Ireland Secondary Schools competition in Tullamore on Saturday June 2nd. They all did brilliantly. Laura Bolster ran very well in a very fast heat in the junior 100m sprints. Niamh Quinn threw brilliantly in the minor discus to claim the silver medal, Amy Callaghan also threw well in the minor shot putt coming fourth and Emily McGreal came 6th in a very competitive minor javelin event. Jack McGeer jumped well in the senior high jump and Aoife Lenehan just missed out on the medals coming fourth in the senior shot putt while Zoe Mohan threw very well to come second in the senior hammer event. On May 9th another of our juvenile athletes Alan Clinton completed the Navan 6k event and ran very well coming 2nd in Juvenile Male Category. Well done everyone
