Keep Walking Keep Well

With the first week over of the six week Keep Walking Keep Well initiative in partnership with Healthy Ireland and Sport Ireland and with the support of Athletics Ireland it’s not too late to register for next week. Our club grounds are opened Monday to Friday 7-8pm and Saturday 11-12.30pm so don’t forget to download the “Get Ireland Walking App” to take part. Please be mindful that no gathering of people is permitted, grounds/paths are available for walking only, no other form of exercise is allowed. Covid health guidelines of 2m social distancing must be followed. A one-way system must be in place on the track for walkers. Further information can be found at

Keep Walking Keep Well

We are delighted to be able to announce that in partnership with Healthy Ireland and Sport Ireland, we are opening our club walking track from Tuesday 4th May 2021 from 7-8pm with a new 6 week walking initiative “Keep Walking Keep Well” with the support of Athletics Ireland (in line with government guidance) for communities and club members to walk safely and be active.  

All you need to do is is book a time slot through the Get Ireland Walking App  available on App Store and Google Play…… once you have the app press “Book a timeslot” type Meath and you will see our Club simply book your time.  Walks are bookable 7 days in advance. 
So let’s all get walking 🚶‍♀️ And spread the word……


First week of training over and we were blessed that the weather stayed fine throughout.  Monday and Wednesday saw the return of our younger age groups U7 to U14 with our older groups U15 to U18 returning on Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday, and to all who attended each session we hope you enjoyed it. 

Our sessions could not go ahead without the help of our coaches all of who give up their free time to ensure training sessions can proceed.  Thanks to Phelim who continues to ensure that the club is maintained to very high standards.   

Training continues next week as follows: – Wednesday U7-U14 7-8pm and Tuesday & Thursday U15-U18 7-8pm, Friday Hurdles U12-U18 7-8pm and Saturday 11-12pm U15-U18.
